Military Missions is 100% volunteer operated. While we can’t pay you monetarily, we can promise you will receive a blessing through serving all those who sacrifice so much to protect us and our freedoms.

TEAM OFFICE – We are always in need of volunteers to help us staff the office in 2-3 hour shifts. Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly shifts are available. We also need people to fill in occasionally if regular volunteers can’t fulfill their shift. Duties include sorting and organizing donations, screening cards and letters, checking inventory, and various general office tasks.
TEAM OUTREACH – We need volunteers to help us reach out and connect with our community. We need to get the word out about Military Missions and get others involved in supporting our programs. This could include making calls, public speaking, media appearances, or greeting people at events. Team Outreach members might also:
coordinate with churches, schools, businesses, clubs, organizations, etc
staff information booths or tables at events in our community or in conjunction with local businesses
be a part of Operation Dropbox and help us get collection boxes placed throughout the community
TEAM FUNDRAISING – We rely completely on donations given by individuals and groups. Volunteers are needed who have experience with fundraising and grant writing. We hope to broaden our ability to bring in donations so that we can continue to serve our active military and veterans.
TEAM EVENT – We have a number of special events and fundraisers during the year. We need volunteers who are interested in planning or helping out at these events.
TEAM TECH – Do people call you a geek or nerd? If so, you might enjoy being on Team Tech! We are looking for volunteers who are interested in spending time on their computers helping us to reach the online community. We actively participate in social networks and need people who can help share our information. Other duties for Team Teach members could include:
Writing (Blogs, newsletters, etc.)
Graphic design
Posting to online calendars and bulletin boards
Photographing events
TEAM OPSEND – OPERATION S.E.N.D. CHRISTMAS is our largest annual project that spans the months of September through December. Hundreds of volunteers are involved locally and nationally. Several events are planned in the Central Kentucky community as well as a donation drive for care package items, monetary donations for postage costs, and personal cards and letters written to the troops.
TEAM FACILITY – Sometimes our office needs a little TLC. We are looking for people that have general construction and repair skills… carpentry, heating/air, electricity, plumbing, etc. If you consider yourself a handyman, we would love to have you join our team. We also need a decorating touch from time to time just to spiffy the place up a bit.
TEAM VETERAN – As more and more troops return home, the needs of our veterans continue to grow daily. Members of Team Veteran focus on identifying those needs, developing programs/events that will be beneficial, and implementing the activities.
